Home Safe City Safe Streets is the GVCCC's most cherished and largest networking event of the year. This year, we celebrate 20 years of building positive relationships between local NYPD precincts and the communities they serve with an award's ceremony and luncheon at the luxurious Manhattan Penthouse on 5th Avenue. We will be honoring Officer of the Year from the 6th, 9th, 10th, 13th and Midtown South Precincts.

Assistant Chief James N. McCarthy Commanding Officer at Patrol Borough Manhattan South Assistant Chief James N. McCarthy is a senior executive member of the New York City Police Department who has extensive managerial and investigative experience spanning over 37 years. Presently serving as the Commanding Officer of Patrol Borough Manhattan South; Chief McCarthy oversees the daily police operations of ten Precincts consisting of over 2500 uniformed Police Officers and Supervisors. Chief McCarthy is responsible for the planning and security for all major events including the New Year’s Eve Times Square Celebration, Macy’s July 4th Fireworks
